FF I would love to go to v but I have no friends!! (I actually have quite a lot of friends but none that can go to V). You enjoy and have a great time. Pink is ace live x

CG - Come with us - we're going to the Essex one, so not sure how close that is to you, for some reason I am thinking you are the other end of the country lol

Thankyou for the very kind offer FF! I think I'm going to go next year with a mate due to Glasto not being on. I'm in Durham so it is a trek to Essex and as it stands I'm at work on the Monday (easily wangled off). How many of you are going? And therefore anyone I can share the 2 for 1 thing with?

Doh I hadn;t considered that. 4 of us going so used our 2 for 1 between us. But I reckon hold tight - last week they were offering payment schemes, this week 2 for 1 tickets - maybe next will be half price tickets (same as today but a good marketting ploy).

Good evening all, just got up to start my shift and as always I check this thread with my morning coffee! Thanks for all your hard work and stress today. I'm gutted nothing happened and I have to drag you all kicking and screaming into next week with me. I'm thinking it most likely won't happen over the weekend but I'll still be watching out for the alerts on the side.

Have a lovely Friday night whether it be gigging or just getting trollied. You all deserve it big time!

Shaun.

I have spent a couple of hours training the liver for Glastonbury with a friend. It was really lovely. I'll obviously be checking sporadically for resale tomorrow but hoping I'll be alerted either by email or the lovely @dizzymoo. I can't see me f5ing for another 8 hours as I think it's unlikely to be on the weekend. Sorry I can't help Monday @MilkyJoe, you have lots of people trying for you so hopefully someone will be successful

No worries Cg thanks for all your help today anyway and absolutely no need to be sorry!:)Hopefully people can relax a little over the weekend. I'll still have my phone on for alerts and my tablet refreshing the main page through the day but I'm thinking it will drag into next week now. I'm sure there's enough people using the page checkers should anything happen...

Mr dotty at the pub, I was on child taxi duty so couldnt even start the Friday night wine until after 9 o clock but making up for it now and having a smiths night on my own in the kitchen - marvellous ! MJ have a meeting Monday until around 11 but then back on the job x

Thanks dotty it's appreciated!:) A lot of folks getting a little irate on the resale thread, I think the stress of it is getting to people! Fortune favours the persistent!

Enjoy the wine!

Oh, perlease. Finbarr city.

This got me singing "they built this city, they built this city, they built this city on finbarr-rrs".

Which is why I'm not a professional singer.

Thank god that weeks over - crap week at work sealed off with an panic over ransomware....

Sanity was only kept with constant checking for page changes for resale and banter on here & GC.

Popped into Saino's and Asda to check for beer/cider/lager offers and all they has was Bulmers dark fruit piss for 3 for £21 instead of £10 each. So settled for a 10 pack of Kop' pear cider to put in Glasto pile. There's now 7 cans left so I'm going to have to buy some more - hopefully that'll make it to the 21st.

When is the NFR meet by the way, has anything been arranged? I know last year it was on the Thursday afternoon but I don't remember reading anything about it this year? Ticket permitting I won't be arriving until the Thursday afternoon this year but I'd really like to be there*

*Even though it's going to be ridiculously expensive buying my team drinks!:)

I think it's planned for Thursday afternoon again but no definite time/place agreed yet - should be easier once full line ups are known.  Only thing which people seemed agreed on was that it shouldn't be by the bins as it was in a previous year!  I missed everyone at The Glade last year as I didn't know what anybody looked like, then hours later bumped into Gumby (who I recognised from his wedding pic he'd posted on here), HMV and Yeti at Croissant Neuf.  There needs to be some way of recognising each other without looking like a particularly trippy stag/hen party...  someone suggested incorporating a flamingo (not an actual flamingo, obvs) into our attire.

The Glade? Was something arranged there too? I was up at Croissant Neuf last year and was expecting to see a flag or something but there was just small groups of folks sat around at the tables and I didn't want to start approaching people in case they thought I was some sort of mentalist!

We probably walked straight past each other, looking equally furtive!  I felt really self-conscious going up to a tall bloke and asking if he was Mr Gumby; fortunately he was.  Mind you, at Glastonbury it wouldn't be that weird to ask a complete stranger that question!

I will have my Eels beard on and a big flag pole stuck up my t shirt. I can bring a cat but no flamingo, soz.

Today will feature allotments, fitting a current breaker in the van and curry with my cousin (my festival homie). Such is the fast paced life of middle age on the weekend. Bring it! Hope your day is good all round.
