it is a bit moist at the mo......

Yeah, as you know we're about 20 miles southwest of you, so the wind is pushing what's gone over here towards you about an hour later. Sorry to say, it looks set in for the foreseeable. Still, helps the grass get lush and green, eh? I'm trying not to think about those 'State of the ground' updates from Sawdusty last year! :/

Happy Saturday everyone :)

Fucknuggets!

I've heard these guys are going to be in the theatre & circus field on the Thursday this year, including a collaboration with a 'glasto legend'. More info to follow, apparently. Might be worth considering for the meet?

Apologies for quoting myself (I understand it's not the done thing), but I believe I have a bit more info on the 'glasto legend' mentioned. By the sounds of it, it's going to be a collaboration between NYBB and Mik Artistik. No idea how that'll work, but it sounds like fun! :)

Close enough for jazz! :)

For a split second I read that as jizz....

So I've got the email from See with my coach times on (no location for departure though) so it's getting very real now.

First time I've done camping for 30 years and the first time ever I've camped at the festival (always done Glasto in a camper van).

Hopefully some of you will take pity on an old man when I'm trying to find my tent among all the other tents at silly o-clock in the morning while under the influence of everything I can get my hands on (no wife to act as a fun-thermostat this year).

I also keep having re-occurring dreams of being found asleep in front of one of the stages as it's the only tent shaped thing I can find, but then it could be excused if it was during Ed's set and also missing the bus back and having to walk home.

How come you have no departure location?

If I find you crashed in front of the pyramid while I'm litter picking, I'll get you a cuppa, and help you back to your tent! :)

Dunno - I got my ticket in the coach resale and the details I got only states the time the bus leaves Leicester on Thursday (I couldn't go on Wednesday as it's my Grand-daughter's 1st birthday on the 21st). And the time it comes back from PG-A on Monday.

Oh, I see! I thought you meant you didn't know which town! You could email or tweet seetickets, to check the pick-up point. Or there might well be info on the coach thread on here :)

I may have to do that - presumably it'll be on the e-ticket when they send those out.

What worries me more is that the guys I work with are running a sweep to see if I'll get back in one piece and what condition I'll be in  (one option was "found dead in tent Monday") I have sciatica so having to camp has already caused much amusement.

No wife means no-one to tell me I've done enough (She's epileptic so we usually head off to bed around 3AM and try to get at least 6 hours sleep before starting again) without that limitation I'm not sure when I'll get to bed, but Tramadol and alcohol does slow you down a bit at my age.

Yeah, Tramadol eventually knocks my wife to sleep even after taking speed during the day.

I once had a book taken on me as to whether I'd be the first to die among our group. Not a very nice feeling really.

I wish you well in getting the balance right. :)

Will & Grace trailer!

You may or may not have loved it, but I totally loved it and if this made me so happy on this dreary Wednesday :)

I never watched this, but my sis is a big fan. Can't watch vids at work but will pass it on to her!

No fantastic morning here either, being driven up to Newcastle, and listening to the Weather Girls and Eurhythmics with dodgy song titles.

Here comes Lorraine again,

Morning lovely peeps.  Very Manchester/Shitterton here too, lets hope it's just conditioning the ground ready for a warm and dry June.

Rocky Horror in the early hours at  the Pilton Palais sounds great fun.  OH saw the original stage version with Tim Curry.  Does anyone know when the PP schedule is released?  We'd also like to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Holy Grail  and Your Name, but I seem to remember the place being intolerable in warm sunny weather, and as we're going to have lots of that it may be a night time venue only for us.

I have lots of admin to do at home today so should be able to be on Team MJ duty apart from 2.45- 4pm when I have to go and get youngest from the learning centre.

@Penrhos we always take a caravan as I'm somewhat allergic to camping, so others here have best advice, but I think there's a feature on the Glastonbury app which allows you to drop a pin marker on the map to show you where your tent is. It can then tell you how close you are using GPS.  Absolute lifesaver for me last year when the field I'd parked the car in looked unrecognisable when I came back to it on the Sunday evening.

Not Eurhythmics or Weather Girls,  but I love 's'cuse me while I kiss this guy',  'Climb every woman', and  'me ears are alight'.  There was a tedious song a few years ago called 'Replay' and I could swear the chorus is 'I've got an aardvark stuck on my face'.  Certainly more interesting than the actual lyric.
