If making in a mug with a teabag, the milk goes in last and under no circumstances must the teabag still be in the mug when you add the milk!

But the real answer is to use leaves in a pot really.

Agreed!!

I was once found in a rather drunken state by a friend once. I'd been on a bender for a few days and was out of my mind demented. Anyway, my mate half carried me back to his parents house which was close by. I got in and just fell asleep straight away, on a mattress etc that they'd made up for me. When I awoke, late the next day, my mate and his mom made me breakfast. At that point I hadn't eaten for a couple of days at least. They made, for me, an unusual breakfast of naan bread and fried eggs, which was a very pleasant revelation to me. Then it comes to the tea. The tea was made with milk instead of water, and the tea bags left in. This was and, I suspect, will be the best cup of tea I have ever tasted. I have tried to re-create the tea on a fair few occasions over the years, but I've never re-captured that initial first cup.

I've just been in a meeting and pondering this secret resale malarky. Now of course I am here to the bitter end for MJ, but what if so many people now know about these 'secret sale' and the technology advances leave it less down to luck etc etc , added to the potential that there were minimal tickets back in the bucket plus the Eavis's feeling that its 'not healthy' for people to be obessessing with pings at 2am they do decide that returns have been ploughed back into the festival (eg staff/performers) . festaff had more spaces - could they have been given out to other places to stick to their word of 'tickets sold out' (I really hope not)

A note to Mr E - please please we are ok hanging on, the pings at 2am are worth it to get MJ to the festival - please don't give up on the stamina of a  few

That's the last shift on the laptop for a while. I'm working all of this week and next so I can't help any more I'm afraid @MilkyJoe. FF I'm a little bit worried you may be right. I saw in the GG fb site a response from the festival saying minimal tickets were handed back and these have been absorbed by the festival. I hope not.

My uncle's approach to tea was to boil water in a saucepan, then drop the teabags in and continue to boil it until you could stand the spoon up in it. He did use to work on road gangs and in the mines, so I suspect he liked it strong

That's true. It's a packed lunch. Cos it's sandwiches and light. If it was a meal - like at school or for Sunday dinner, then it's dinner.

You wouldn't take a three course Sunday dinner on a coach in a lunchbox.

Clearly you never had one of my dad's packed lunches

So I haven't missed anything but a food fight...

My boss now thinks I'm 100% mental - had "check4change" running on my phone at 1 min refresh all day and each time the alarm went off I'd sneak a peak in case resale was GO!

Wouldn't have been so bad but was in a meeting about Crypto-viruses all morning and one on Datacentre design & security all afternoon (Yawn & double Yawn).

Fortunately I haven't missed out on any potential resales or had to run out of a meeting to press F5 manically on PC - unfortunately I consumed so much caffeine to prevent myself falling asleep in said meetings I'm now completely wired to the level that I might as well taken some speed...

Anything. But. A food fight.

That's like walking into an illegal travellers' boxing match and saying "I haven't missed anything but a bit of argy-bargy"

We take our food VERY seriously here

I think the longer this goes on obviously the more chance that there may not be a sale but to be honest it's too early for me to consider giving this up yet. I have too much time invested in this whole thing now. I'm tired (never having a day off work out here just doesn't give you the chance to recharge your batteries) and ridiculously and irrationally emotional about the whole prospect that I may not be going so I have to keep the faith and see it out. It certainly won't happen at 2am though! Even I'm ignoring those pings!:)

Thanks for all you've done to help so far Curlygirl. It really is appreciated and I would love to buy you a drink either next month or at Kendal!:)

There has been a lot of negativity on the resale thread where I've been for the last 10 days and the email response you mention was posted on there a couple of days back. It also mentioned on the email that there was no such thing as a secret resale...

A slightly more uplifting point is that somebody had called See to find out about his coach details as he and others hadn't had them yet and were told that they were still processing tickets. Of course this may mean absolutely nothing but it does appear that they are a little bit behind and Neil has also posted that he doesn't believe that they are currently in a position to hold a sale.

Fingers and toes still crossed!

back to your food now!:)

Shaun.

MJ, I've not met you, so I don't know, but just in case, do you think you could fit in a rucksack? ;)

I've seen people bringing their stuff in wheelie bins.. not like anyone at the gate would check or anything.

Hmmmm......

I've never understood people who bring suitcases. Those wheels can't even cope with a bumpy pavement, how the hell are they supposed to manage a dairy farm?
