Thanks all! I'm changing it up, instead of spending time being sad over it. I'm going to aim to change the way I debate decisions - he was someone who very much lived for adventure, trying new things, not saying no and being a true gent in people's hour of need. So, I intend on saying yes to more things and stop debating decisions so much :)

Sounds like a good approach, SL. A similar decision resulted in Mrs gumby going to Glasto for the first time, and to me going the following year. It's amazing what good things are out there to see and do, if you take the plunge! :)

Tent is still up in the garden, hoping after a day out in the sun it'll be smelling much nicer.

And goth day is a thing? Who knew!!!

This is a good idea! I think I'm a bit like this, in that I don't really plan for the future but do things now and try new things, but only if you want to! Also, go with your gut feeling. Always. So sometimes it is best to say no, but sometimes not :)

As usual, I am wearing all black so am already prepared for Goth Day!

Morning all

So sorry to hear about your cousin @sheffieldlady, and great philosophy , don't deliberate too much and go with your heart x

I did the South coast challenge yesterday 15.6 miles of Jersey south coast with some rotten cliff paths included - all good, was warm, hips ached, little achey this morning but nothing unbearable ... good Glastonbury training thats my theory :-)

Have a good week all

Sorry to hear your news @sheffieldlady. Things like that have pushed me to do more and build up those memories.

Saying 'yes' more started me on the road to finding MrsCJ.  Speaking of whom, the operation is now set for June 23rd, with 3 consultants lined up, so not really good for NHS funds if it's delayed for me to get to Somerset. MrsCJ had already changed our wedding date for me to come to Glastonbury years ago so twice is asking too much. So, I won't now be joining you next month, and I'll see you at the sales for 2019. Have a great time, warm handshakes!

In other news, I know we don't take much notice of what 'scientists' say, but I just had a look at Metcheck. They're suggesting 0.1 mm of r**n on the Wednesday, and none for the rest of the festival. That's still 0.1 mm too much though!

All praise the mighty weather gods!

Evening all. After coming out of work and having 2 texts from @dizzymoo I came straight on here to no news, which is a little sad but we still have hope.

@sheffieldlady I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. It's tragic in one so young that loves life. I like your philosophy on the yes thing and I too always say yes to invites/experiences. Probably why I'm so tired all of the time but at least I give life my all. Much love to you x

@carlosj I'm sorry you won't be coming to the farm but understandably Mrs Carols health is far more important. I hope it goes well for her!

Hello lovelies, it's been a beautiful day here at the wrong end of the A361.  Sounds like you had an awesome weekend @lucyginger@carlosj glad Mrs CJ's op is scheduled, but sorry about the timing.  Hope it all goes well.  @sheffieldlady so sorry about your cousin, it's a fitting tribute to him to say yes to life experience.  My dad's death in 2007 was a major factor in our decision to go to Glastonbury in 2008, after years of dithering.

Sorry today's page alerts were just for bloody tipis.

Have a great evening.  I'm off to choir and pub soon.

Hi lovelies, hope everyone is well and coping with the daily stresses. Can't thank you all enough that you are still keeping the faith for a resale. It's been a long couple of weeks right enough and I wouldn't have been at all surprised if people had given up hope. A couple of tipi pings today has given me fresh momentum though so fingers still crossed. Tomorrow also marks my half way point in my work trip too so it's counting down for me after that.:)
