It has been absolutely glorious weather up here in the north, which didn't suit my mood at all! Proper grim news reading/watching today. It's all so very wrong and sad. I'm going to bed and will awaken to a lovely Glasto themed beautiful county (in my dreams). Night all

Scorching today where I am. And I am hanging big time on the way in to work. Went to see Declan Mckenna again last night, I basically have to if he is playing in London (although the gig was a cracker so I'm not complaining). But being with his brother we got into an aftershow party, which got a little out of hand.

Feeling the effects today.

Morning all :)

What a strange day it was yesterday. The skies here fully reflected the mood, I think 'sombre' is the best word. Properly impressed by the way people pulled together to help each other.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Absolutely Gumby, the stories of people helping lost strangers to get home give some hope for this world. I loved the poem read out at the vigil, can't remember the guy's name. Manchester (well Bury) was my home til I left for uni. I didn't go back much after that, but weirdly feel I should be there now.

I snored through 2 checkpage alerts at around 5am, and have 2 emails from follow that page for 6.45 and 7.45, so something's going on at See. I have clients today and am driving a fair bit, so may miss alerts but I'll do what I can to pass them on.

Beautiful sunshine is streaming into our kitchen this morning, and the rainbow maker's filling the room with little dancing patches of colour. Almost enough to turn me into a morning person.

Have a great day lovely people.

Reading all the things on FB etc this morning made my eyes a bit leaky. It is just so nice to see people being people.

Crikey, reckon we're on for today for a resale? I'll get my page up and filled in ready! I havent got the page checker but do manual checks ALL the time!!

Haha I know what you mean about the sunshine almost making you a morning person. I do love the morning sun, and the twinkling of reflections and all that. I also like a lie in!!

What an amazing scene watching the poem read out. Made me feel sad and happy at the same time! The guys name is Tony Walsh who incidentally was poet in residence at Glastonbury in 2011.:)

Afternoon all - sorry you cant make it Carol but good news for Mrs C.  @sheffieldlady I missed your post but sending you hugs anyway. still on checkpage alert here MJ - bloody thing woke me up at around 5.30 this morning .  keep the faith - if there is a resale we will get you a ticket!  the weather is beautiful here, perfect G weather sunshine and a nice cooling breeze - stick.  Hoping it lasts this weekend as I am painting the garden fence - rock -  and indeed -  roll - however I will happily take r*in if it helps for G! 4 weeks today I will hopefully be nearly at the farm - eek haven't even started any preparations yet other than buying some amaretto for some cherry bakewell.  Hugs to all and have a happy day after the awful events of the last couple of days, as I find myself saying to my 2 boys as they frequently descend into full on fight mode "Why can't we all just be nice and kind to each other?"  (mind you they don't listen to me either!)  x

Afternoon mes amis. Hope everyone's doing ok, seems odd to be coming back into a happy thread full of sunshine but that's exactly what we all need to be doing at the moment.

Working from home today (genuinely) so took the chance to go for a walk in the wood at lunch; with all the crap going on it certainly makes me more thankful for what I've got and less inclined to sweat the (relatively) small stuff. Following up on some of the papers I got given after taking the stress test at work and trying a combination of that with meditating.  We'll see if it works, fed up of being neurotic!

4 weeks people...

bleddy glorious out there today.  took the dogs out for a long stroll earlier to blow away the cobwebs of what, so far, and for various reasons, has been a rotter of a week.  amazing what a bit of sunshine, fresh air and exercise can do.

even warmer tomorrow too! :D

It has been fabulous in Somerset today, proper Glasto 2010 weather. I don't want to be greedy, so won't hope for 5 weeks of this, but a repeat of today for the festival would be awesome. :)

Agreed, it's been bluddy luvverly here too.  This time last year the ground was already sodden, if I recall correctly.

More of this please!

Night all. Let's hope for another bright, bright, sunshiney day tomorrow :)

I'm happy for it not to be a repeat whilst I'm at work. I don't see outdoors so it may as well be miserable! And I want the bad stuff out of the way! Goodnight Me G. I'm off to bed too
