NFR NFC 2017 - The friendly thread for lovely people

Evening all. So I've spent Friday and Saturday in a state of inebriation. I was at a wedding all day/night Friday and just had to carry on drinking on Saturday to relieve the hangover. I never get hangovers so I'll blame the gin!! Now bearing in mind I don't like gin, I have found such a lovely one and I'll bring @H.M.V a bottle for the wedding. It was so lovely and refreshing. It's made locally to me and it's called RIP.  Made at the South causey inn at Stanley, County Durham. I have a huge bump on my forehead and don't recall how I did it so it must be good!

@naughtygeorgie I had a beautiful but random dream about Glastonbury and the NFR peeps, I woke up so happy... but I can't remember it now. My hair can be very Afro'esque but this year I plan on braiding it. You will no doubt see @mr gumby jr tho with his wonderful head of hair.

It's bloody massive at the moment! I reckon he could out-afro the Jacksons (if we were planning on seeing them)! I'd like to leave it big and crazy until later in the summer, but we're definitely going to have to get it cut before he starts school in September.

Just don't get it cut before Glastonbury. I love Charlie's hair!!

Morning :)

You don't need me , Quark has got you covered!  Seriously good call, much simpler to bake the fish and make a coconut vegi curry to go to with it, less risk of overcooking the fish as well.

Morning the trout with coconut curry sauce went down a treat in Saturday, big thank you to you and @Quark xxxx

2 days of partying and live music and I'm shattered,, how on earth am I going to survive in 3.5 weeks time... Adrenaline yep that's it, better order bottle loads of it

anyway how rude of me, good morning one and all ... marvellous day yesterday watching reef in a tiny tiny venue, they popped outside for a surf pre gig and they seemed to love it. It was indeed hot, sweaty and loud and amazing :-) . Two random people talked music to be and mentioned they'd seen X or Y at Glastonbury, and so had I ... Turned out both had seen their bands on the TV, it struck me that it was strange to say 'I saw X at Glastonbury ' when they hadn't actually been there lol

now sorting Glasto stuff out and playing music , really feels like countdown time now ... Although my heart is feeling for MJ and no secret resale ( yet )

Bloody hell, really?! I might chalk this up as a win!

Glastonbury day for me too today. We fly off on holiday a week today, so plan is to get all my glasto stuff sorted this weekend. Shopping at Blacks and Cotswold this morning for socks, gaiters and a few replacement bits for the tent. W*terproofed the tent and my boots and jacket (won't need it, obvs, but I'm not getting cocky!), carried out a few running repairs to chez Quark.

Cuppa and a biscuit and about to start packing :)

I got my Glasto prep finished off yesterday. All I need to do is buy a few bits of food, and shove a few more clothes in my rucksack, and I'll be all set! :)

Started off pretty gloomy this morning, but has become a very pleasant evening. Hope everyone's had a good extra Sunday! :)

I've done no prep whatsoever. Unless you count drinking and walking loads. Not sorted out clothes, booze, chairs, flags, picnic blankets, sun loungers or anything yet... (just kidding old son).

London was warm and appropriately the weather turned poor as I came up t'North tonight. It has been a great extra Sunday. Nearly payday and nearly June.

I was with grandkids in van they were great but my daughter was in a tent and she thought she was going to die lol

Been grey and miserable here most of the day - but I cut lawn and had another dry-run of pitching & packing tent on Sunday so feel happy that so long as i resist the beer I can get setup in about 15 minutes once I've located somewhere to call home for the weekend.

Probably heading to Paines or Pennard hill depending on how full they are when I get on site Thursday.

Happy as a pig in shit right now, no major clashes! Woop woop! :)

Haven't had time to digest, but Dropkick Murphys just made me jump out out my chair at work!

Will be taking the full list and a set of highlighters on holiday with me

RH and Flaming Lips from first glance. Won't get chance to study it properly until later though.

Reckon I'll be bombing it up from the Pyramid to the Park to catch the end of FL.  What a stage for them as well.

Still fingers crossed for resale dude :(

Good call, hadn't even looked at the timings. I reckon you could make it up to the park in 5 mins if you were strategically placed for the end of RH.

Yep fingers crossed for resale this week. I think if none by the end of this week it probably going to be too close to the festival to have one.

Also starting to put feelers out for entry by, shall we say, more unconventional methods too!

Yeah, I reckon that's disappointing for quite a few people. For me it's a no brainer. I was only 50/50 about Radiohead, but the Lips are one of my must sees. It would've taken The Smith's or Pink Floyd reforming to make me consider missing them!

that's some mission!

no major clashes for me.  3 hours of Sasha and Digweed!  thats a head down, soft shoe shuffle of an evening right there!  though making it to Masters at Work at 2am Monday might be pushing it..

Oh man it looks good.  Bizarrely my most annoying clash is Sunday lunchtime - Dropkick Murphys up against Ruby Wax

Seriously though people, get praising.  We need good weather to be able to move freely between all the stages to catch this good shit!
