I mind the last time I was there, 10 years ago and DJ Yoda stole the show for me with his set in one of the small tents.

Just had an eye opener!

we bought villacamp tickets thinking that it included the pre pitched tents... is that just for access to the villacamp and no tent?

also we only bought 3 villacamp tickets between 6 of us (thinking that we were paying for 3 tents), does that mean only 3 of us can now get into villacamp?

Unfortunately yes, each person needs a ticket for Villacamp

Villacamp is just entry to the campsite which is closer to the beach and gives you guaranteed shade.

Personally I think it is a bit of a rip off as if you're camping any way you may as well camp for free next to the arena. You are guaranteed shade too unless you arrive from Wednesday onwards.

Usually have main DJs after headline band (1am ish) until 6-7am 

but South Beach runs DJs all night too

we stayed in the glamping area so we didn't have to take any camping gear with us, it only cost us €100 for a 4 man tent for the week and it is already set up in the shade.

We only spent about €300 for 5 days there each as the drinks from supermarkets are pretty cheap.

 

ps. When you book the trains make sure you use the discount from the fib website as it saves you a bit of money

On just one of the 4 nights, and they are probably one of the biggest Spanish indie bands of the past 2 decades, playing the biggest Spanish festival. Fair do's I say, and they're actually pretty decent.

€100 for the tent, but the 4 man tents have now sold out for this year. You can still book the 2 man tents for €90 though!

In terms of established acts, the vaccines did last year so they are out, rest of them are possible

it is a Spanish festival and they are massive in Spain and quite good too

I wouldn't worry about. There's only really Los Planetas and La Habitacion Roja who are anywhere big enough to carry off a main stage sub at Benicassim, and LHR played last year, so embrace it...you will be in Spain for a week or, after all, so go and enjoy some Spanish bands at a Spanish festival.

Amen brother. At Mad Cool the week before too so plenty of Spanish acts there also.

Do people drink on the beach? You can take booze in to the campsite too right?

I don't really remember too many drinking on the beach itself. There's bars and restaurants at the beach where people will sip away at beers and cocktails but I can't remember people buying booze in supermarkets and drinking on the beach. Probably frowned upon!

Yeah you can take all the booze you like into the campsite.
