It's apparently not the Roses btw

Idve thought if it was we'd have seen some teasing or at least a lemon on a billboard somewhere. It was said previously Beni aren't in charge of when Roses gets announced as they want to announce a load of European dates together, so maybe The Weeknd tomorrow, Roses after new year?

It wouldn't be surprised to see hardly any European festival dates for the Roses next year. The last round of European festivals they did didn't go down amazingly well in certain countries.  Can't see the clamour of festivals trying to book them this time with the asking price they charge and not much extra material in tow. Benicassim seems the obvious festival for them given the demographic of the festival goers and the dates.

I'm just going on what I've read here really, maybe a few arenas rather than festivals?

Would like it to be tomorrow when Roses get announced to confirm I've got two high profile headliners to look forward to, but I wouldnt panic if it's The Weeknd tomorrow, who seems a likely option.

Arenas makes more sense. the June/July festivals have pretty much sorted most of their headline spots and most of the August ones are probably unlikely to book them again.

No, sorry, poor wording. I got the info from some private Facebook group, which is often reliable but often susceptible to bollocks. They're quite certain that the Roses aren't playing Beni.

Yeah i'd say that's bollocks then as the hinds snapchat leak is pretty legit and likely, + their already announced UK shows the week before. I'm not a Roses fan so I hope you're/they're right, but I think they will play. Not sure if they'll be announced today however...

Very happy with that did not expect to see Foals there, presumably they aren't a headliner either given their much smaller standing on the poster? which leaves two spots free.

roses - RHCP - Weeknd - ???

THE WEEKND AND FOALS ADDED TO THE LINE UP

FIB Benicassim Festival is thrilled to announce another amazing headliner and more great acts joining the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS in Benicassim, Spain between July 13 and July 16, 2017. Watch out for more big announcements in the New Year!!

Let’s start with the news that the hottest act in the world today, THE WEEKND will be headlining FIB!

The alternative RnB revolutionary from Toronto, THE WEEKND has been breaking records with the release of his third album “Starboy” – a number 1 Billboard album which has earned him the title of the most streamed artist of 2016. Following on from hit singles ‘The Hills’, ‘Earned It’ and ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, his latest single Starboy has quickly become the track of the year, ensuring that The Weeknd’s headline performance at Benicàssim will be truly unmissable.

Joining The Weeknd are one of the most influential bands of their generation; Foals.

Their endless creativity and ferocious live shows have seen the Oxford five-piece behind hits ‘My Number’, ‘Mountain At My Gates’ and ‘Spanish Sahara’, rise through the ranks to position themselves as one of the most unmissable live acts in the world. Foals celebrate their unstoppable ascent to greatness next summer with a performance set to go down in Benicàssim history.
