New album announced! Don’t think there’s a release date just yet but pre-orders start May 16, and it seems like it’s gonna be another metal-leaning album. Title is -ahem- PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation.

I've just watched the absolute bore-fest of The Last Dinner Party on The Other Stage on Saturday afternoon. Based on this, where could you see Gizzard playing if they were booked next year?

I think they're in the conversation definitely. They seem to tread the line between retaining a cult-like status but being very popular. Wouldn't be surprised if they did it.

I think they would put them Woodsies headliner moreso than Other headliner. If they were on Other you have em 3rd down at worst at their current level. Would be a shame for such a short set though. So if they could get a headline slot and 90 mins it would be great. And theyre def the kind of band to do extra sets during the weekend

Haha yeah, I saw them in them late night at Crow's Nest in 2017 or something after a set at John Peel.

 

They headlined Ally Pally a few years ago and Wide Awake last month. Could be my favourite band atm, but f**k knows if they have the pull to headline the Other. Park?

Yeah. I saw em in John peel in 2017 too. Didnt get to the crows nest set but cant catch em all
