Coach travel freedom of options

Hi all,

Never tried for coach tickets before so hopefully you can help answer a question:

If you're lucky enough to get through for coach tickets what freedom of choice do you get or do you just get randomly assigned a day and time from your nearest depot? I.e if I wanted Wednesday midday could I get randomly assigned Thursday afternoon?

Also same question for return on Monday - is that just a random time so I could get 7am departure etc?

You choose Weds or Thurs and you choose your departure point.
You can choose times with London and another I think apart from that times are allocated.

 

You could get 4am Monday or 4pm Monday.

Bristol usually lets people choose their own departure time too.

For returns they usually aren't strict on what time you leave but as above you could be allocated any time throughout Monday.

I've also read that on Monday they aren't strict about what coach you get on, they just want everyone off the site

i don't remember even having my ticket looked at on the way back Monday.

Do any coaches leave on Sunday evening / night ? Either see tickets or national express?

There was a national express coach at 1am that I got on. Never checked tickets, the driver didn't want to touch anything as we were caked in mud!
