The Sherlocks have just posted this which appears to by in the same style of the FF posts. If the Sherlocks are involved somehow, presumably supporting, then perhaps the announcement is not about glastonbury after all.

Hopefully more likely that Sherlock and the lads would announce they voted for Brexit than that they've nabbed a prestigious Foo support slot, very definition of flash-in-the-pan indie

I see no reason why Foo Fighters would be coming back to the UK to play their own shows, they played stadiums summer 2015, they need not return so soon

Yeah I don't think there'll be other shows here. They made up for the cancelled non-festival shows with MK Bowl and Edinburgh shows (maybe more, can't remember) and they don't appear to have a new album coming.

because the people of the UK like live music so much they will pay considerably more for a ticket than anywhere else on earth.

The Echo Arena in Liverpool is announcing a "golden gig" tomorrow, could be connected to that. Although Bruno Mars is due to announce a tour which we already know includes Liverpool, so probably more likely to be him.

They cancelled two sold out nights at Wembley last time. Can see them wanting to do at least one night there.

yeah don't think there was a chance that was ever gonna be Foo Fighters  if/when they come to the UK it'll be Glastonbury and then possibly a standalone London date i'd imagine. can't see them doing any kind of extensive tour outside of that
