That'd be an odd thing to make such a big deal of, and send tickets to people in England for.

That it would. Where was the show tgey played in Italy after that video plea to get them there? Live album of that show? But why link it to the missing date?

It's happening!

The women says she's on the Foos mailing list and is going to Glastonbury.  Plus it arrived special delivery this morning.

As said it's the same person as before but I looked at his twitter when it was linked and saw he was going to Glastonbury. Got me thinking that maybe Foos have cross-referenced their mailing list with Glasto ticket holders (is that allowed?) and sent out these to people who satisfy both.

No, as ghostdancer pointed out it's not really on when it comes to data protection and shiz. Think it'll just be their mailing list so maybe a massive UK show or something that isn't Glastonbury? Or maybe it just is Glastonbury and they hope their mailing list is bothered about them playing Glasto. Probably not the entire mailing list bc it's effective enough marketing sending a few out and people share it online - a bit like those Radiohead postcards last year.

In data protection terms, while they definitely can't cross reference their mailing list with the Glastonbury ticket buyers list, what they can do for example (and this is assuming they've taken peoples twitter names) is cross reference their list for UK registered people with twitter accounts that have mentioned the word Glastonbury in the last ~6 months.

Just what I was thinking.
