Just had to do a (quite simple) H&S induction before my ticket QR codes were issued for Wilderness. It seems like the H&S man has made changes across all of festival land, not just Glasto.

Unlikely she’ll pay reading then if so, she’ll be much better off charging £130 for her own shows at multiple venues This is the problem Reading has. Curating a 3 day festival in a day where competition is huge, mainly from artists own tours. Festivals used to be THE big gigs. An artist can do multiple nights in the same venue at similar prices. Reading can’t get her for 130 quid. People aren’t willing to pay 130 quid AND go to Reading where there is little hotel stock and limited local demand. Weekend ticket wise people there’s not that much crossover in fan base with Foo Fighters/ Muse/ Greenday etc… Its a very, very tough festival to book at the mo, with blow up artists selling huge tours at huge prices…

Not really happy with the replacements but I understand that it is almost imposible to find a headline rock material in just 3 weeks, so Royal Blood is a logical booking and we cannot complain. The Smile is a band imposible to replace. The only top bands that could fit in their slot were Pixies and Pulp, and it is almost imposible in 2024 that Pukkelpop book any of this bands. -
Identified the accommodation i'll be staying in nearby for the sunday night ahead of the festival - going to a little pub in Street this time, its a Marston's pub so i'll not be anticipating amazing beers or anything, i just like driving down on sunday afternoon and having a leisurely day before getting to site on the monday morning first thing. Might as well book it up at a cancellable rate in case i luck out and get earlies and have to cancel 👍
