Out of the three, The Arctics seem like the most likely given that it's only been a few years since Muse and Coldplay headlined.

I still think most evidence points to Strokes but maybe AM after them. There’s been zero intel on Gaga as gutting as that is.

I think the only info about Arctic Monkeys is one person on an unknown forum that perhaps isn’t even about music or anything. The other info, like from the dude who runs an Arctic Monkeys forum, says that they’re not there. Don’t see why they’d have been a backup option in the first place.

I've heard something similar which also originates in Sheffield; might even be the same geezer, or might just be something going round certain circles in Sheffield.

What I heard originates from 2 weeks before jennifer on twitter said macca had pulled out.

No idea if there's really substance to it tho.

Meh. They were talk of town last year over playing Tramlines. If they do actually announce anything for Europe in summer 2019 then it’ll be time to consider them seriously but it doesn’t seem likely.

Strokes subbing AM would certainly be big enough in terms of prestige, and would also see the least crowd movement between headliner and sub since Weller/The Who.

Obviously it all hinges on whether AM are active this summer, but right now I have a feeling that’s where we are going.
