I would assume they'd be trying to go through the re-entry section, as there's a lot less obstacles on that path. Or possibly even one of the exit lanes. Thing is that there should be a security guard sat several metres after the ticket/wristband/passout check, and so assuming the ticket checker is halfway alert they just yell runner, and assuming the security is halfway alert they can pick them up.

I always take duct tape and scissors- they live in my rucksack and never see the light of day normally but as I had a tent pole break one year when someone fell on my tent do I feel it’s one of those things that would come in handy. This year I managed to break my camping chair on the first day - and the duct tape made its first appearance- it held the chair together for a whole week! Then I discovered my tube of face sun cream was leaking at the wrong end - once again the duct tape saved the day! Also used it to keep my fairy lights attached to the tent 😀

I would suspect that the terms and conditions stitch you up like a kipper. It's an arduous task but you'd have to look at those T & C's in order to establish breach of contract. If it doesn't allow it, then you would have no claim to compensation etc* * - That is if the T & C's are compliant with the UK law. See how difficult it would be? It's like @Superscallysays - .'Absorb'. -
