What in the name of sweet Jesus is a Paradnoid Android?

If it's the greatest album of all time (it's good, but it ain't that...), surely you'd know what the tracks were called!

^_^

Ben

Jesus. And now I can't even edit it because you've quoted me. I might as well curl up die.

The Queen is Dead

1. "The Queen Is Dead" 6:24
2. "Frankly, Mr. Shankly" 2:17
3. "I Know It's Over"

You know that doesn't touch Vauxhall and I, easty.

I realise it's almost sacrilege to acknowledge that Morrissey made a better album than The Smiths made, but deep down we all know it's true...

At their best songwriting, Alan Whyte/Boz Boorer > Johnny Marr

Vauxhall and I surpasses anything the Smiths ever did and that is a little know fact.

I love you.

It's actually so good it's ridiculous.

It was Stephen Patrick at his very, very best - lyrically, vocally-rhythmically (i.e. the rhythm in which he delivers the syllables, so brilliant) and musically.

Whyte and Boorer's magnum opus and the best (solo, don't want to be too inflammatory) band he ever convened.

Saw him for the first time on the Boxers Tour (so still touring Vauxhall..., essentially) and it remains my favourite gig of all time.

I wish, so dearly, that the detractors could have been at that gig and had all of their cliched and tired misconceptions dispelled.

Where do you stand on the much maligned and misunderstood Southpaw Grammar?

Hello is far from their best....

  1. Rock N Roll Star
  2. Shakermaker
  3. Live Forever

beat that lot fairly easily I think.

But for  me...

  1. Where the streets have no name
  2. I still haven't found what I'm looking for
  3. With or without you

is pretty unassailable.

and it's not even the best side of the album...

Came here to say Joshua Tree. I'm not even really a fan of U2 but it's an incredible opening trio of tunes.

1. Battery
2. Master of Puppets
3. The Thing That Should Not Be

(although I did really have to think about it - as I have VERY varied music tastes, but this has to be at the top for me)
