Bloc Party // Silent Alarm

1. Like eating glass      2. Helicopter    3. Positive Tension

Just shades it ahead of FWN and Antidotes for me solely because of the drum fills on like eating glass

This! Always loved the back to back of uniform/on from weekend in the  city too

Faith no More- The Real Thing

1. From out of nowhere

2. Epic

3. Falling to pieces

What a run!! Still outclassed as an album by Angel dust I reckon though?

Ah you may be right.

Angel Dust is a phenomenal album.

Real Thing though brings back memories of being with my best friends drinking underage in local park and a much simpler time.

so for personal nostalgia I'm sticking with Real Thing.

Mike tripped me up as I was on way to bar on Angel Dust tour.

highlight of my life at that young age.

who am I kidding......it still is!

So I just listened to the three tracks again to check but I'm pretty sure the answer is:

Mr. Self Destruct > Piggy > Heresy  (Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral - with the added bonus of having probably the best closing song of any album ever also)

However these options did make me temporarily question my decision:

Given the stick they've taken on here recently I'm also going to give some kudos to Stereophonics for Thousand Trees > Looks Like Chaplin > More Life In A Tramp's Vest.

As a debut album that's a cracking opening salvo.

But yeah, Levellers win hands down.

A superb shout re Stereophonics my good man. Their first two albums are tremendous for me. Those openers, plus Traffic, Same Sized Feet and Not Up To You, plus the whole of Performance and Cocktails reminds me so much of my youth!

Both excellent suggestions. Why didn't I think of those.

Aaiii, can't put this above either Appetite or Levelling The Land, but Counting Crows is a very good call.

Excellent shout on August and Everything After, the only problem is side 2 is better.

Up the Beach 》Had A Dad 》Ocean Size
