So me and my friend are glasto virgins and were wondering about certain bits and bobs:

where to camp? I've been told pennards hill is good but where else is there that's sort of close to things?!

best time to get there? We're coming from Birmingham and we're planning a 2am dash- wise? Unwise?

Also on the driving front which car park side is best for trekking camping things everywhere?

feel like these questions have been asked a lot but any ideas would be much appreciated :)

I've been 8 times now. I always like to camp near the pyramid. Big ground is the camping area. Generally I usually like to see the headliners at the pyramid or JP stage. So it's nice to have the tent close to stock up with cans.

Also one good thing about big ground it's in a bit of a hill so there isn't much pooling of water going on.

To get close to the area with parking you want to travel to the east of Glastonbury. This brings you in just east of the pyramid.

Wherever you camp you will have an amazing week. There's so much to see, do, eat and drink.

Enjoy!

Be prepared for a massive walk... Dont forget there are lots and lots of people who arrive and queue all night meaning they will  often head for the most popular fields.  Once you are there you'll doing so much walking anyway that you won't notice the extra 10 mins to a more outlying campsite.  You just learn to take out what you need for the day instead of popping back to your tent .

Arriving at 4am ish will put you in a long queue at the gate for probably 4-5 hours so make sure youve got food, drink, sun cream and waterproofs handy.

Have a great festival, don't forget to talk to people!
