I know they played main in 2017 but they’ve dropped off significantly since
jamieaslee
A lot of people speculated that The Streets would play Leeds this year and apparently Mile Skinner said he would be back with them at his DJ set on Relentless too. Parklife were promoting it as 'first festival in 8 years'. Any chance of a last minute announcement similar to N*E*R*D last year? Despite that going down horribly in the end

I can’t help but feel that PUP/their management have cocked up by choosing to play Reading. Imagine the reception they would have got at 2000 Trees compared. Maybe it’s just the pull of playing ‘the’ Reading Festival. I’ll be one of the

Even without special guest, would have given Paak the clout for the majority of the promo before bumping down
Jericode
Highly doubt anyone's getting added to Saturday main stage, they usually have nine bands per day on main stage and they've already got nine announced for every day bar Friday. The Streets played 2011 after their last album, have they released anything since then to make it worth bothering to book them?
jamieaslee
At what point were official stage times announced last year? Remember it being slightly earlier than usual

They're headlining a stage at Glasto, smashed Parklife, sold out fairly big venues pretty quickly at £50 a ticket, so I'd say they're still pretty in demand due to how hard it is to see them. Also, they're playing in Australia in July, then a festival in Belgium the week before Leeds, one can hope
rivalschools.price
Frank Iero are touring with Laura Jane Grace in UK in August so must be a good possibility of being added to Reading/ Leeds

Tom Connolly
It’ll be interesting to see who replaces them to headline the stage

TKOCF
Yeah, according to the poster, I can see SWRMS taking their place as headlining that stage. Hope they’re feeling alright.
jamieaslee
Could fit a decent sized secret set in there now then
rfc_478
Bump SWMRS up, then I can see both them and Chvrches!
Tom Connolly
the poster says TBC for the headline slot so i’d imagine it’ll be a direct replacement. Frank Turner anyone?

jamieaslee
Assuming that there will be a final main stage act announced for The 1975 day, who do we think that could be? IDLES have a very RnL shaped hole in their tour and The Streets tour ends in Belgium the week before, but that might just be wishful thinking Edit: IDLES are playing a festival in Northampton actually, not sure which day/ whether they could do both Edited June 24, 2019 by jamieaslee

Will probably end up being a band you've never heard of.
dentalplan
As if Idles are playing Shambala and not R+L. That’s nuts.
Andre91
IDLES for the secret set. They’re headlining Ally Pally in December. What a madness.
