The journos that are close to Chelsea reckon the club has watched him for years and see him as a similar sort of player as Lampard. I reckon he will get game time, like Drinkwater has. Not sure what it means for the likes of Loftus Cheek tho.

Knowing Chelsea, Loftus-Cheek was never in their plans.

That’s the one mate yeh.

Well as you said he pushed a player and also grabbed a ref with more force than he did Lallana. My only thought was the ref didn't want the abuse that Italian one did for booking a player reacting to racial abuse.

Your point being

To automatically assume someone said something racist when they're mixed-race themselves seems a bit of a reach. Might have said something else we don't know yet until we have the full facts...

The ref was stood between firmino and mason so surely would have heard everything. If he did say something racist then it surely would be heard and will come out in the investigation. Surely though he should have been punished on the spot though if the ref heard racist abuse.

If that is what the ref is putting in his report, it’s a bit odd that he never sent him off.

I said potential racism. Im not assuming anything, but the old 'passions run high' isnt an excuse
