He has scored against all the top 6 clubs last year and won the golden boat two years. He clearly is the best premiere league striker at the moment

He won the second golden boot racking up 7 goals in dead games at the end of the season. Maybe those 7 goals were needed in the fa cup semi final or when spurs dropped crucial points when in the title race the last 2 seasons. Kane also useless in the euros, mediocre in the champions league. Not every goal is of equal value and I still think Kane has a lot to prove in terms of getting the very valuable ones.

Utd have leaked the fee, Everton have said its incorrect. Now the fun starts I guess.

Why would Utd leak the fee? Wouldn't that be counter productive with Chelsea rumoured to be interested. It's far more likely that everton have leaked it for others to bid higher.

Dunno its come from Moshiri apparently. Doesn't want it reported as £75m. It may be an attempt to force the price down.

The "doesn't do it in the big games" label is always unfairly thrown at young players I think. Both players have just/about to turn 24 so haven't played the bigger teams a whole lot. Spurs and Everton haven't had long runs in Europe either.

Both are goal machines. Agree that Kane is not and should not go anywhere.

I believe the stat for Lukaku is 5 goals in 35 fixtures against top 6 teams.

I do agree  though that its harsh to judge him on this too much yet, especially as he has been playing for a team that wouldnt be expected to be beating top 6 teams too often.

Is 23/24 really young for a modern day footballer? I have heard people call Kane the best out and out forward in the world. My response would be to wait for more evidence than racking up goals in the premiership.

Also Kane has played in the Euros, champions league, FA cup semi finals and crunch premiership games I would say he has had chances to do more.

Talk sport reporting the same now regarding fee not agreed as coming "directly from Everton"

A couple of places are reporting the deal as £85.4m. £75m plus Utd picking up £100k a week of Rooney's salary for two years so he fits in with Everton's wage structure (£150k a week from Everton)

Seems ridiculous money for Rooney.

If offered any forward in the premiership I would still take Aguero.

Too injury prone. If you can keep him fit for a year, then yeah (though he also goes games without scoring)

Gabirel Jeus only played a few games but he seems really talented. Maybe a full season will show how good he is.

Sky fixtures are out and they're persisting with Friday night bullshit again.

Odd that Chelsea aren't on first. When's the last time the reigning champions weren't televised on opening weekend?

Friday nights are in the contract, not like they can just pull them.

I know, I was hoping given that they had flopped last season Sky and the PL would reconsider.

They could possibly next contract, stuck with it now. Remember pay per view games they did on sky? That didn't last long.
