DDave
Tame Impala / LCD Soundsystem / The National.
mellowmaniac
LCD Soundsystem would be amazing. Also acts like Nick Cave, Kendrick Lamar and Bon Iver, but so far they haven't confirmed any shows around the time of the next BKS.
spudling
LCD would be awesome. Also like to see war on drugs.Everything Everything Glass animals. Does anyone know why BKS is so early this year ?.

I'd say the most probable are 1.) to get a couple of weeks between BKS and Down The Rabbit Hole, which is BKS' biggest competitor for the same kind of bands and audience in the Netherlands (what might help to get a better booking), 2.) Pinkpop changed their timeslot to the "usual" BKS weekend (even though both festivals aim at a different audience there might be some overlapping) 3.) to get closer to the two Primavera Sound festivals and Field Day to share more bands than before and 4.) they already booked a special headliner who is only available at this weekend. Tijn
Don't expect The The headling, more likely that they get a nice spot in the Two like most of the bands that have come back after a long absence. Going to see LCD tonight at Paradiso, really looking forward to it.
DDave
NorthSide gets off to an incredible start with Queens of the Stone Age, The National, Father John Misty, Deerhunter, and Cigarettes After Sex Well there's 2/3 headliners right there
Tijn
QotSA could also be subbing at Pinkpop, but I guess the National is pretty much a done deal at the moment. Foals and LCD for the other headlining spots would be my guess. Edited September 13, 2017 by Tijn
mellowmaniac
The National seem very probable to me. But if there is one thing I learned from all the guessing and speculation around this year's edition, it's that the BKS booking is very unpredictable. Beside of the two headliner (Run The Jewels were definitely below regular headliner level) most expected and at the time touring acts were not (or couldn't be) booked. I personally would prefer headliner smaller than Radiohead, if the co-heads and the rest of the program would be stronger (and better) than this year's lineup. spudling
I agree I would much prefer a better undercard than spending all the budget on huge headliners. Their biggest competitor Down the rabbit hole had a better undercard this year. I will keep my options open for next year . There also seems to be a distinct lack of available hotels in Tilburg for the festival weekend.
mellowmaniac
I know, it's incredibly improbable, but Roger Waters will perform in Cologne (less than two hours away from BKS) on the Monday after the festival. He would surely be a dream headliner fitting the festival perfectly, but definitely even more expensive than Radiohead. It is announced that he will play in the Netherlands, but there is no Dutch show confirmed yet.

He'd increase the average age of the BKS audience by about 20 years!
mellowmaniac
Yeah, you might be right about the age.
mellowmaniac
QOTSA also confirmed for Inmusic. I don't think they would be booked by BKS, but you never know.
mellowmaniac
Another major rumour for June/July: Pearl Jam might do a European tour that time. But most probably also too big for BKS. http://www.alternativenation.net/major-pearl-jam-summer-2018-tour-rumors-revealed/

But yeah, can't see them being at BKS at all tbh. Kraftwerk announced some Feb 2018 dates. Would be a great booking for BKS
spudling
Kraftwerk would be good but Pearl Jam no thanks. !!
Tijn
Booking Pearl Jam would be very atypical of BKS, it's looking like that they will finally return to Pinkpop after 18 years.
Tijn
Nick Cave is coming back to the Netherlands next year, now that would be an amazing headliner. Should be around in june because of Primavera, hopefully he won’t be booked for Down The Rabbit Hole.
mellowmaniac
Nick Cave would be the kind of perfect headliner for me. Fingers crossed. He seems to have history with Lowlands, but in case he'll be on european festival tour in June chances for BKS might be realistic.
Tijn
Don't see Nick Cave back at Lowlands, wasn't busy at all in the tent during his last passage in '13.
spudling
My bloody Valentine have announced the reissue of there 2 classic lps and a possibility of new material so hopefully so if they tour would make great booking!!
mellowmaniac
Chances for a Nick Cave show got a bit better. He just confirmed a show in Dublin on 06.06.2018 (two days before BKS) what makes him at least available at the time of BKS.

Tijn
BKS has updated their site. With the National playing in Amsterdam on wednesday and thursday, I think we might see them confirmed on friday.
