I've not been to Anfield for a gig - or ever, actually. What's the joint like?

I've not been to one since 2008, which was excellent but I imagine things have changes since then.

I know someone who has been to a couple more recently and said avoid the tickets right at the top of the Main Stand as the sound is awful up there.

Unbelievable atmosphere. Genuinely unmatched in terms of stadium gigs for me.

Watching the Kop singing You'll Never Walk Alone as Keith Richards came out and started Gimme Shelter is one of the all time highlights of my gigging life

It's fair to say that particular we example may not be universally appreciated...anything that brings football into it is bad for me. If Everton fans do that at our new place I won't go to gigs there

Bodes well if the announcement comes!

I don’t know if this comment is a windup!  - I can’t imagine anything worse than people singing that while I’m trying to watch and listen to the band I’ve come to see. Football partisanship has no place at a gig, it’s just made to divide rather than unite

It's got to be a wind-up! I can't think of anything worse.

I had wondered if it had been kicked down the line twice because of hopes for the new Everton joint. But we'll see.

absolutely no way the first event at the stadium isnt a football match. plus i believe anfield will still has a bigger capacity for concerts than bramley moore.

oh btw it's ace for concerts. was there in 08 for Macca and for Elton. Elton actually has come out and said it's one of his top 5 favourite gigs he's ever done.
