The sovereignty of the various overseas territories/island states is kinda interesting. I don't know about these ones specifically, but in most of them they actively want to be in the UK.
You obviously have the idiots nostalgic for the days of empire headbanging on about this, but while I have no beliefs that we should be trying to be all imperial about them, I also don't think these things should just be negotiated between states like this has - without some sort of referendum or decision from the people who actually live there.
Someone I know who's been going since 1997 has started doing this the last decade or so, he tends to do one on one off, rinse and repeat, throw in a fallow year in-between it all it means he still keeps the interest going without just religiously going every year.
He was actually suggesting to me that I try doing the same when I met up with him at this years festival.
I am a good fan of The Naked and Famous. Haven't seen them tour here in yonks though - caught them behind Simple Forms and thought that record was a terrific pop album.
Think my biggest worry about the whole AXS fiasco at my end is how it bodes for Springsteen next week. Imagine Ticketmaster will run mains on Co-op Live, but for Anfield again, probably rules me out due to the bot situation.
