One of my favourite ever openers .:. Just the ticket to start the day … would love fatboy to open also … although I’m sure there would be grumbles

Caught a bit of Annie Mac this year, I'm sure she opened the other on the Friday. Seems to go down well some early morning dance music. I also saw hacienda classical last time they opened up the pyramid, good fun

Looking at the billings they're getting, some promoters were expecting that Kneecap movie to be massive weren't they?

(I say that as someone who enjoyed the film)

Must admit, I was surprised to see them as headliners. Given this is the first release of artists, I fear some horrendous clashes on this day. There's 8 acts already I'd like to see, not including Kneecap (who I anticipate will not have anyone else playing at the same time as them).

I didn't know them before this year. Their album is my favourite of the year so far and I'm 120 albums deep. Not even seen the film.

I think they rightfully deserve these spots and will only get bigger off the back of them...but yes, I'm surprised they're playing all the places they are in the positions they are.

I don't think anything would put them in the running. Nothing short of confirmation would make me think there's even a chance it happens.

Feels like AC/DC is more of an "our own shows" band rather than necessarily in the running for festivals. Could more likely see them pick UK outdoor venues instead.

Ditto. They consistently do their own thing, and famously had their own stage last time they did Download. Whilst they did do Power Trip 2 years ago, that was no doubt for a Gargantuan fee. I can’t think of a single reason why they’d do Glasto - the money’s sh*t and they don’t need the exposure

Wouldn't be surprised to see them announced by BST.

Anyone seen Iggy Pop live recently? Worth going to? I usually would buy tickets anyway but it's been an expensive month.

I've seen him a few times, last being Rock Werchter 2023. That show was magical and he's never dissapointed me, so take that as you will.

Bit of a bunfight for Iggy Glasgow tickets- but I'm in.

A very tame bunfight, there are still standing and seating available.

Thanks, I think I will go for it!

This is standard for Wide Awake (or any london day fest with a few stages really!)

They are a really smart booking here.

Will do well with general wide awake audience, fairly new but going so lots of people won't have seen them before. But also - will sell with the irish contingent in London.

Its an exciting choice if anything!

Daniel Avery great choice to close the dancier stage too
