As a local to MK, I'm quite pleased they're getting good use out of the Bowl this year with this, Forever Now, Pendulum and the Reggae festival. Shame none of it is things I'd be up for paying for tbh.

Admittedly I only really drink alcohol once or twice a year if that, so I'm not really one to be dispensing advice on that score.

 

... Either that or just mainline all the Red Bulls without the booze. I can't sleep on planes, as I found when I couldn't sleep on a flight despite less than 3 hours in a bed after a trip to Mad Cool 2018 and nearly falling asleep in Madrid Airport.

No energy drinks and now no more soda. ( just high on life ) Anyway, I did have one time I couldnt sleep for the life of me. Returning from Primavera Sound in 2010. Barca back to Philly for a layover. Took 2 sleeping pills and they did nothing. Luckily had an aisle seat at least.

Know he gets a lot of flak, but if he's putting on that many with a reasonable price, full power to Yungblud. Hope the sales pay off.

just listened to their new, debut album on a whim and instantly sensed they were a big Live Act.  just sounds like their album exists so they have an excuse to play live. has anyone seen them live before? i'd be intrigued to know what a live show from them is like. some articles have v high praise but i was wondering if there is any first-hand experience

As in how long it takes to get in?

 

Muse was the first thing they hosted in a while so was expecting it to be a bit slow to get in but as an experience a good half an hour plus of queuing for my mobile ticket app to not work when I got to the gate was a pain in the arse.

I was meant to see them supporting Los Bitchos, I think, but rocked up late and only caught the tail-end. (If it was indeed them.)

There's usually a lull for announcements in the early-to-mid part of January but we expecting any major declarations this week?

Not that I'm aware of. Stones will surely keep until next year. Has anybody heard anything further on Macca doing Bramley Moore Dock?

Last time we were expecting a Rolling Stones date, there was talk of them only being able to announce it X amount of time in advance for insurance purposes (because of their age).

Was there a rumour of Sir Paul opening the new Everton gaff next summer?

 

First I'd heard of this tbf.

At Bludfest we got to the queue just before 1:30pm (30 minutes post doors) and didn't get in until near 4:30pm. This was in the 30 degree heat. Missed loads of acts. And this was at the 20000 cap event. Apparently it was just as bad at the bigger Chase and Status show the day before.

Yeah, was doing the rounds a few months ago as the reason why he'd skipped Liverpool this winter - that he had "something special" planned for next year there.

 

Might well be putting two and two together and getting five, but now Anfield is officially maxed for its live events, there's not many other places that could do it.

 

And yeah, I heard the thing about the Stones and insurance too. Thought the chat was London and "one other" for the UK - maybe Sunderland?
