Pyramid Subs - RB / Lizzo / Lil Nas X

Other headline - Wizkid / Lana / QOTSA

QOTSA was expected but could defo be swapped out for SZA. She's not gonna be in any smaller slot.

RB has been said by multiple people, the rest are also a lock with Lana and Lizzo officially confirmed (possibly others too?).

QOTSA slot only place for her now, not sure whats going on with that honestly so you never know.

SZA playing O2 on Sunday now

I grew up in Bracknell, it is the biggest shit hole on earth, why anyone would want to play there is beyond me

They have redeveloped the town centre recently and it’s not as bad as it was. I will always have a soft spot for South Hill Park as well!

DMA's at St.Georges Hall, Bradford last night. 4th time seeing them - they're not everyones cup of tea but lord above they're phenomenal live. The venue is fantastic also, not been to a venue with such good acoustics before.

I love them, they've gone into favourite band territory recently - I went to Liverpool for the acoustic gig the other week but annoyingly I'm away for the Manchester gig next week. Guessing the new stuff sounds good live?

Can imagine they're generally hated as landfill indie on here though, especially with their unfortunate association with Courteeners

Would be harsh to club them in with Courteeners personally (I know that's not you). They've some amazingly well-written slow tunes in with the more tub-thumping anthems.

Ermm the new stuff sounded good, but I only probably like half of the new record, appreciate the change of direction you've got to keep it fresh but it's not for me.

Really like them and still haven’t managed to catch them live yet, hoping they might be on the farm but haven’t actually checked to see if their still a possibility yet.

Ah I meant more that Courteeners gave them their big break originally and they've supported them loads, including this year. I don't dislike Courteeners by any means (I already had tickets to Heaton Park in June and now DMA's have been announced as support!) but I also know that it can hold a band like DMA's back when they're put in that bracket.

I love the new direction - was a big fan of Cobracaine and The Glow off the last album and was hoping for more of that. I love De Carle and the title track from the new one. They've struck a great balance between that and old style stuff and I hope they carry on with albums that have that sort of balance

In the UK til 14th June, at Pinkpop on 18th June and their next gig is Tramlines mid July. They're definitely about, all about whether they've been asked. I'd hope for JP/Woodsies in the middle of the day.

I would say that if you like them and can do so, to try to check out their own gig as well at some point. Festival sets I've seen have been quite disappointing, but the atmosphere indoors is incredible. If they play Glastonbury the best experience will be had front and centre

Rock N Roll Circus – Self Esteem, plus special guests Confidence Man, Bimini, Arctic Numpties & more TBA at Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield on 02 September 2023

Love Self Esteem and don’t at all blame her for milking her long overdue exposure whilst she can, but god I can’t wait for her to fuck off for a little bit.

I can't decide if her profile has come from 'she's good, lets promote her until she's made it!', or nigh-on industry plant levels of the media just constantly promoting every single thing she does as the best piece of art this side of Donatello. I think she's alright to good?

Fair play to her, I saw her play a small room in Manchester not long before covid, when by her own admittance she was squeezing in some stripped back shows before the end of the year to get enough money to see her through Christmas.
