Pleased that happened haha!

It was the Sunderland date I had a poster for, exact date and everything confirmed. I’ll see if my mate knows of anyone else kicking about that I can shed any light on

I was at a meet ping with the Sunderland COO  last week and he really bigger up concerts and says the club are doing everything to secure big acts in the future, even down to more hospitality options.

I heard a rumour about Madonna in Sunderland but could be rubbish

Caught Wunderhorse at Kentish Town O2 last night. They were brilliant! Saw them at Woodsies after a recommendation on here (thanks to whoever that was). So good live, and they played a lot of new stuff too so hopefully a second album on the horizon 🤞

Wunderhorse were amazing at Woodsies last year.  I also had a recommendation from a friend who ended up missing them (more fool him).  They really blew me away live.

I couldn't make Kentish Town last night as the wife was already out so was gutted as have seen a lot of good posts from previous gigs on social media

I'd be amazed if it went back to the signs. I read an interview (think it was with his manager) where it was said he hated the signs as they ruined the flow of the show. However, people just kept bringing them and it got out of control.

Its a shame - I'd prefer to see THAT Bruce too, but he has moved on.

Given that 2023 was "greatest hits" heavy, I'd expect the same again, hopefully with some variation.

Personally, I'd just like to see him shake up the middle of the show, bit fed up of Kitty's Back, Last Man Standing and even Backstreets, all of which were untouched throughout the run. Other than that he can play what he wants.

The signs could be hit and miss i find. i was at the Manchester gig in 2016 when he broke out "santa claus is coming to town" for the fella in the santa suit and as bat sh*t as it sounds 50,000 people singing it in the middle of May was ace.

Also saw that excellent Woodsies set. Had no idea who they were, just that I needed to chill out, hydrate, and be in shade. Stayed for the whole set, and it's one I find myself thinking back to more than many of the others. Had someone asked me what the highlight of the festival was immediately after, I don't think they'd have been even top 5. Definitely want to see them do a headline show at some point.

A friend was in Rome in 2013, this was when the band was playing full albums. That night they were due to play all of The Wild, The Innocent... until Bruce pulled a Kitty's Back sign and played it too early. They ended up just doing side 2. Still, if you're going to play one side of a record, it might as well be one of the best sides of all time.

The sad thing was it was such an early set it didn't get any BBC coverage so couldn't even watch it back afterwards

It's somewhere between the two. They're not gonna get a high pyramid slot but also won't be on one of the smaller stages this time around, if they're there.

Mid Other, or maybe opening Other on the Friday.

yeah i was at the Mohegan Sun shows in 2014 and he played Santa Claus.. from a sign request. which i have to say i greatly enjoyed at the time.

i do think the whole sign thing was getting a bit stupid and very annoying by the end.

i prefer it when Bruce just plays a varied show which can change at any moment from the printed setlist by Bruce calling an audible.

over the course of a three night stand - night 1 greatest hits, night 2 album tracks, night 3 crazy deep cuts nobody thought they'd ever hear!

the morning after night 3 trying to get your head around the magic you had just witnessed.

this years three night stands - night 1 greatest hits, night 2 same as night 1, night 3 same as night 1 and 2.

the morning after night 3 wishing i hadnt spent all that time and MONEY on nights 1 and 2.

if i NEVER hear Kittys Back EVER again it will still be too soon...

Signs were great if great songs were chosen.

Came close to chibbing someone holding a 57 Channels sign at Glasgow one year.

Someone at Hyde Park night 1 had a double sided sign request of Born To Run or Glory Days.
At least they went home happy.
