SalviaPlath
What a horrendous set of headliners. Rhcp probably shade Post Malone and English aristocrat Fred Again by virtue that the lead singer is an admitted nonce and the others as far as I know are not. On another note, Bring Me the Horizon kicked off the post-Jordan Fish era last night, I see. Highly unlikely for the farm, with Friday and Saturday in the Nordics, but still think they'd be an excellent Other headliner option against a superstar Pyramid headliner. Sunday Other headliner already belongs to The National.

They headlined the second stage at Reading last year which is as good as subbing the whole thing. They're easily big enough to headline Other I'd say. NorthernSoul52
Bring Me the Horizon's stock has only risen, at least from a live sales perspective, since they were the lower headliner at R+L, plus Download was an unqualified smash success by all accounts. But in the hierarchy of Glastonbury's Pyramid options, they're not in the modern-day equation right now. They're on the same level as Lana Del Rey, I'd say. A very impressive Other headliner, but a soft one for the top spot.

I know they’re big enough, just not sure if Glasto would offer them it and if The National look lined up for the Sunday headiner on the other then the only option to book them would be Other sub as I can’t see them being on the pyramid. BMTH are nowhere near as impressive as Lana Del Rey who sold out BST at £100 a pop in minutes ffs Nobody would be like how on earth did they pull that off if they did other, unlike Lana Edited January 10 by gfa
goonerben
In 2019, BMTH played at 3:45pm on the Other Stage - how much bigger have they got since (genuine question, I'm not really into them so don't really know)? Felt like 2019 was (even then) a smaller slot than they would have had almost anywhere else, and a lot smaller than Reading or Download. So there is form here for massively underplaying at Glasto. I’d say they were in between a sub and headliner at both fests at that point therefore they were much lower than they’d get elsewhere but not sure if they put them in that slot as a big band alternative to Kylie to try draw some of the crowd away. Always felt BMTH were in a smaller slot to go against the legend that year (Kylie).
Dales
A good chance to see them at a smaller venue. Tickets were on O2 Priority today but no surprise that allocation are now gone.

The point is they are still on the same level in terms of booking though, I'd say - soft Pyramid headliner options, but very strong Other picks. 1 hour ago, goonerben said: Felt like 2019 was (even then) a smaller slot than they would have had almost anywhere else, and a lot smaller than Reading or Download. So there is form here for massively underplaying at Glasto. I'd say their stock has risen considerably. I remember them struggling to shift tickets for a UK arena tour in 2016 off the back of That's the Spirit. Now here we have the same dates - and a few more - that broadly went like hot cakes. I think the Kylie clash did them no favours back in the day, but in terms of a live attraction, they're definitely on the Other headline level, at least in terms of the usual metrics. Andre91
BMTH have headlined Download now and sold out two arena tours since time they played. I’d say they’re at Other headliner, maybe other sub at the very least, level now.

I think they would get sub obviously buy there are still too niche that I feel the festival would put them to headline to move crowds. They might feel they would do one more slot as sub but I'm sure what benefit they get out of it. They are going to headline Download/Reading now when they play anywhere which is where they want to be.
gfa
I could see them putting them as a headliner to give them a push - although they are a load of white blokes from sheffield so it does seem unlikely in all honesty. Soft pyramid headline for BMTH is crazy
