You know, I have the same sense of feeling. The more I look back at that MCR show, the more I realise it was a greater moment than it was a show.

Is there any word on if they're coming back? I enjoyed it, but it felt like a nostalgia trip and not like they had anything new to offer.

Placebo have a gig in Switzerland on tge Sunday so it depends if they're willing to chance Glastonbury on the Saturday, then across to St Gallen.

I'd put them out myself. I don't think they would take a slot Glastonbury offer. I was a bigger fan over the years but I wouldn't priorities them. I watched them at Download, a mixture of the heat and just kinda been there and done it.

The barrier for me was sound quality. I don't know if it's down to where I was standing but it felt oddly muffled where I stood during MCR's set and I didn't have that issue with Placebo's.

Attention, Milan is a non-album show according to their instagram.

That official? I know Milan is a festival but thought I-Days was kinda like BST Hyde Park and functioned as a showcase for the headliner to just do what they want.

I saw MCR in Prague and sound was sh*t to the point of ruining the gig completely for me. Shame, as the band seemed to be in top form.

Tbf I'm very tempted to say they were better than My Chemical Romance when I saw the two of them at Stadium MK 2 years ago, and Placebo's only hits they did were The Bitter End and Infra-Red. At the very least the sound was a lot crisper and heavier.

Agreed, honestly thought Placebo were better and really didn’t go much on MCR.

I was in the gods, and the mix was a little muddy for both. Ultimately for me, just felt it was a little bit undercooked and sloppy though. I can appreciate a bit of messiness live, but there just wasn't enough crunch behind the instrumentation, and I don't think that was a mix issue.

The other problem I probably had was the setlist. Plenty of great cuts, but seem to recall it was a bit lopsided with the album tracks from Danger Days they were so fond of playing, which baffled me, given the singles from that record were uniformly excellent options for live shows.

I think their final area show in CA on the tour was the ultimate representation of what it could have been for me.

Let the record show though that I am absolutely up for bands whipping around their setlists. That's a massive joy for me, so maybe taking issue with that isn't the right tack. (There were definitely enough hits to enjoy.)

Oh I applaud the fact MCR's tour in 2022 had a unique set for every show and there were some songs that it was nice to hear that I was not familiar with. If they're going to go all in on Danger Days, no Sing or Planetary Go is odd for me as I like those two.

I was on the floor stood by what is usually the MK Dons dugout, but during Placebo I was at the back in the centre and the sound felt crisper there.

Who actually cares though if a lineup is good, Coachella issue is that its not.

I don't know if anyone cares, I just found it interesting and thought some others may too.
