They’re very big at the moment so I don’t think it’ll be too bad for them. Shame they’re f**king terrible as it’s always good and increasingly rare to see a heavy band making waves so quickly in this day and age.

Me and my friends are listening to an album a day this year. We take it in turns between the four of us to rotate the choices, and then give it a first impression rating, a favourite/least favourite track, and any 'notes' we'd like to pass on. One of my friends added the new Sleep Token album because he's somewhat into that scene, liked Vore, and knew it had a lot of discussion.

Good grief. I'm fairly into metal, but I thought it was genuinely unlistenable. The production is absolutely vile, so synthetic and boggy, I could not stand it. Plus, the 'Pop'/'RnB' tracks on it are some of the worst songs I have ever heard, I genuinely cannot fathom how or why they are so revered.

Between the four of us, all variously into metal, some of us thoroughly into it, I think the highest rating it got was a 3/10.

How the times change.

Wonder how many instances we have of Glastonbury headliners supporting Glastonbury headliners. Must be a few.

More common back in the non-Global megastar era - I’m sure Muse and Ash toured, and Coldplay and Ash too for that matter

I saw Muse and Ash in a tent in Cork back in (I think) 2001. It was billed more as a double-headline show than one supporting the other.

Obviously at that point Muse had yet to headline Glastonbury, and for my taste Ash being former headliners only applies on a technicality.

Muse supported U2 in around 2013 I believe?

U2 are an excellent shout for this. They've had loads of decent sized acts as support over the years, including Arcade Fire and Flo.

That reminds me of Professor Green supporting Fall Out Boy. Made no sense.

It was in the era when he was married to the Quality Street heir (or recently divorced). I assumed at the time it was a buy-on.

Yeah there are large portions of their music where they’re barely even a rock band and it’s quite hilarious to see all these metal head types who would usually look down on and sneer at anything pop/RnB leaning all hyping this band up because they wear masks and robes. I’m all for blending genres if it works but I find their blend of metal and rnb with buttrock vocals so lame.

What did Dizzee do?

Convicted of assaulting an ex-partner, on leaving court he threw a photographers camera across the street. Historic firearms and dangerous weapons charges too.

Hold on a minute ...

Jay Z supporting Coldplay?

What a weird world we live in

Both Jay-Z and Kanye have opened for U2, which is as bizarre.
