yeah, thats the part i read too. i remember thinking that it was good that they allowed spirits as im sure Secret Garden Party didnt allow it. Still took some obviously but this way it saves you having to hide it.

Silk City apparently have a song coming out with Dua Lipa so maybe they will have some special guests. Also indicates that the project might be more pop-y than first thought

So gates opening at 12? What are the chances they will in fact open them earlier? What happened last year, anyone know?

Although the Bestival map's not out yet, Camp Bestival has released theirs.  Hard to tell what will change, but I reckon they'll leave as much as poss in place to minimise the build/break.  If that's the case then Bollywood is in a different place, near to where Club Dada was last year.  Bestival won't require as much Camping Plus space so I reckon The Temple will go there, where it was last year.

The Camp Bestival map makes reference to "Cashless Top-Up/ Cash-Out". Sounds like it could be a RFID / Contactless system for payment at the bars & food outlets.

Last year they opened early but other years in the past it’s varied (and sometimes even been slightly late)

Yet now they've changed all the pages to say no spirits allowed. Grrrr!

i dont think so. At SGP i just took in a plastic bottle of spirits wrapped in my sleeping bag...as did all my mates. But once you are in, there is no seperate arena and camping area. Everyone just walked around with their plastic bottles of different spirits

 

but i believe bestival has a seperate arena area?

Yeah they've confirmed several times that the I'm In thing is legit.

Looking on Twitter there's loads of competitions, and loads of people winning them. Clearly it was nowhere near selling out.

I'm due to meet up with three efesters at some point, but firm arrangements have yet to be made. I've not been to Bestival at Lulworth Castle before, and nor have at least two of the other efesters, so it's a bit tricky. Was there a meet up last year does anybody know? If there was and it was successful, then maybe that time / day/ bar would work again this year.
