1. AURORA - Royal Albert Hall. I had the first seat in stalls pretty much on the stage and it was just magical.
2. Olivia Rodrigo - O2. The energy and singing from the crowd was something else.
3. Depeche Mode - O2. Won tickets and was in a suite. The first time seeing them in 30 odd years!
4. Orla Gartland - Lafayette, London, Always excellent and the first chance to hear stuff from her new album.
5. AC/DC - Wembley. Much as I generally don't like stadium gigs, these guys smashed it.
Nothing to do with being blackout drunk for me but when you've done many glasto's and especially several in a row, it's difficult to place order of events and what happened when... not that the memories aren't there, more how to access and sequence them.
And on the second point, the empty fields are very different to the festival fields. I don't think there's many people who could do that with any level of accuracy!
Very End of the Road heavy for me as I didn't get to many other gigs:
1. Slowdive - EOTR
2. Camera Obscura - EOTR
3. The Hold Steady - Electric Ballroom
Other belters: Phosphorescent, Bill Ryder-Jones, Idles & Sprints at EOTR and Lottery Winners at Gloucester Guildhall
