What time should I arrive?

First timer at iow festival. All weekend camping ticket, what time would you suggest getting the ferry from southamtpon and getting to the isle? Cheers

HI I normally head over about half 10 and get there in the queue ready for when the site opens at 12pm.  It doesn't normally take too long to get everyone through.  Even last year when the security was heightened because of the Manchester attack we were in by about half 1 and that was with the 20 minute to where we like to camp! lol  Hope you have a fab weekend :-)

Thanks  in your opinion where's is best to camp? Don't want to be miles away from the action

Depends what you like.  I hate camping where the sea of tents are so I always go to the very back fields as it is a little quieter there. If you don't mind being the mix of it all then the first field is less walking distance to the main arena.  It fills up pretty quick though but there is loads of space to camp so you will be fine for a space :-)

Brilliant thanks  so you enter near the main area? so the first camping you come to will be the closest to the main stage? sorry for all the q's just my first iow fest.
