I struggle to get too worked up about these incidents. My guess is that Iniesta doesn't hate black people and Hennessey isn't a Nazi sympathiser. Both incidents will be forgotten next week.

Obviously disappointed by the result but I liked the look of the that Ki-Jana Hoever. Watching him he obviously has bags of talent and confidence, the only giveaway of his age for me was how much growing he's still got to do.

Mad that Bayern are bidding 35 mil for Hudson Odoi. They must really believe he can be the long term successor to Robben. Hopefully he stays at Chelsea and gets the game time / develops into a class player there.

Listening to Sid Lowe (Football journalist based in Spain) the Iniesta story is considered a complete non story over there.  Apparently its something people do regularly at that time of the year and while it will probably change over time, it is considered culturally pretty normal.

Indeed. Which is why the City game was so big. A ten point gap is a huge buffer, even a 7 point gap if it was a draw would have been a big result.

luckily last night means nothing towards the Prem.

And I don't really think losing to City is a biggie. As you say, no one expected them to be ahead anyway, and going the whole season unbeaten was always going to be very unlikely.

How it finishes will be down to what injuries both sides have, i think. Liverpool are currently looking iffy for centre backs which might be a big issue.
