Mahrez to Man City for £60m. Not exactly surprising that he’s moving or that the fee is still that high... but the destination is baffling. Why would they need him?

Might be interesting who gets Shaqiri. Not surprised that he’s linked with Liverpool as he seems like their sorta player. I could imagine Arsenal beating them to him though for the link up with Xhaka.

Well David Silva's going to be playing a bit less each season as age takes its toll, 32 now, but it's not like pace was a key part of his game.

Not doubting Mahrez's talent, but I'd have thought City could have got someone a bit more consistent or younger for that price?

Exactly. Love watching Silva but can’t see him playing more than 30 times a season and his contract runs out in 2020. With the amount of games City will hope to play in the CL and the inevitable injuries I don’t think it’s that outrageous to have all those players in the squad.
