Security Search into campsite

People that have been in recent years, what were the searches like? Every person? Every few people? Or were only a small number searched?

Also how thorough was it? cheers.

Everyone is searched, some selected for more in-depth exploration. Bags opened, bottoms of bags felt for hard objects (bottles). Food ok. A couple of plastic bottles of unopened water - usually ok.

You can't take alcohol into the arena, you can into the campsites.

Other festivals I've been to search every person entering the arena, so I dont think its unlikely they will here too.

Was watching a highlight video of the festival, and it showed the entrance with sniffer dogs

There were sniffer dogs and patting down of bags etc for the past 2 years and then sometimes people had abit more of a thorough search done. Maybe a little more thorough this year due to the deaths at Mutiny ?

Ok cheers all, not fussed about sniffer dogs just interested in how thorough the searches are as my mate and I are both 17 therefore have the classic issue of “will we get the alcohol in”.
