Registration Numbers

How many digits do people have in their registration numbers?  I am in a group of 6 and one of the members of our party only has 8 digits in his number and the rest have 10.  

I'm really worried its some sort of mistake and is going to cause problems if I get onto the booking page.

Does anyone else on here have less than 10 digits in their reg no?

Dont worry, ours are a mixture of 9s and 10s; there's no pattern to it.

Going way back to the dawn of the registration system in 2007 - numbers were 7 digits, and allocated in sequential order so I guess you may even find one of those kicking around.

At some point around mid/late 2008, they made them 8 digits and no longer issued sequentially. Later on it seems they also put 9 and 10 digit numbers into the pool, and so it's still possible for a newly issued registration to have 8-10.
