Tbf this just makes me think of my regret of not doing the full weekend at Reading 2011. I came on the Sunday to see Muse doing Origin in full, and had a great time seeing Friendly Fires before them, but there are many acts on the first two days I've since gone on to see, including Strokes and Pulp themselves.
Pulp's Reading 2011 set looked so great on YouTube. Strokes one looked fine but feels like it may have suffered by having to follow the blast beforehand.
Booked my tickets without too much trouble, but I was a little worried to discover that all the Tangerine Fields camping had already sold out. Not quite sure what to do, since I don't live in the UK so I don't want to buy, bring, and set up my own tent. And I don't fancy paying £600 or more for a luxury yurt. Does anyone know if they'll be adding more tents?
Faithless in Edinburgh last night.
Band sounded great. Both new singers have great voices - obviously different to Maxi but they added a different spin on things. Atmosphere and crowd good.
I thought the start and end were great but things went a bit flat in the middle. I think they need to cut back a bit on the covers.
