travel to Belfast Monday

Hi we have some newbies coming with us this year from Belfast, they are flying to Liverpool and travelling down with us but could do with getting back relatively early Monday. Rather than travel back with us to Cheshire (we will be towing a caravan so usually takes aaaages, then get to Liverpool airport, we are looking at ways to get back to Belfast from closer to the festival.  My initial thoughts were shuttle to Castle Cary and train to Bristol and fly from there - is this feasible? do you have to pre book the shuttle to the station (appreciate they need to book train tickets)? how far away from Bristol station is the airport? If anyone else has done this to and from Belfast any ides would be welcome. Thanks :)

Hi

I'm going back to Belfast on the Monday too, and have done previously.  I found the best way is National Express coach to Bristol (return was about £40), then fly Bristol to Dublin, then coach to Belfast.

Bristol to Belfast on Monday afternoon is currently about £130.  To Dublin its currently its about £75, so its a matter of whether they'd rather spend the extra and fly direct

Edit: If they really want to get back early on Monday, there's an 8am flight to Belfast on the Monday morning, but they'd probably want to be leaving at around 4am ish to make sure they get it

Thanks for the reply - do national express do one way coaches as they only need the return leg? The cv ticket is in their name so they are coming with us.  Suspect the early flight is out of the question - I would bet they will still be partying at 4!

Yes, you can book one way only. Though there's not usually much price difference between a single and a return.

I'm flying from Belfast city aiport to Cardiff and back as easyjet flights to and from Bristol were ridiculous prices to Belfast international.

Booked national express coach cardiff - glastonbury - cariff. Longer on the coach but means I get home earlier on the Monday since we fly to city airport so easier to get home.
