ljsnookie
I should have looked into this before I bought my National Express coach tickets but alas, I didn't. In people's experience, do the gates ever open earlier than 8am? I've booked a coach that is due to arrive at 4:30am and I'm just wondering how long I can expect to be queuing outside. incident
Yes - usually earlier (any time from ~6:15 onwards is realistic), but sometimes later if there's a H&S issue preventing the gate/site from being signed off.
ljsnookie
Great, I can cope with queuing if I know it's not likely to be a 3 and a half hour wait for the site to open.
Tranquility of Solitude
In 2017, NE Bus from Edinburgh arrived around 07:45, gate AΒ was open.

Gate teams shifts startΒ at ~0545 and they have to be in place at all gates, the site has to be signed off (though that should have happened the night before) and all gates have to be signed off as ready (stocked with wristbands, safe, fully staffed etc.) They tend to open around 7am.
