Better a churnup pyramid spot like the Foos did. Saving it for the Gallaghers
NorthernSoul52
Did look at the setlist and think it was a fascinating structural choice when we've heard only a few so far - and only one of them is properly engraved into the public consciousness. Interesting to see that he swapped out The Kitchen to bring back Dead Boys. Not a bad shout, per se.
WolfIsHere
Manchester last night was class! Very very good performance and electric atmosphere. For what it’s worth I was in the minority as a middle aged woman and the crowd standing with me near the front were all early 20s. So I think he has a chance of pulling a decent crowd at Glastonbury. When I saw him on the Pyramid stage two years ago it was the same demographic. I’m not sure he’s headliner though and I say that as someone who adores his music! I wonder if he’ll be the second last on Sunday?
NorthernSoul52
Cannot see him accepting anything below Pyramid headline, bar a secret slot. He's outright topped R+L for good now - that's as near a barometer as you arguably get for who's in the mix as a credible shout. Except, of course, it isn't as cut-and-paste as I'd like to suggest, because I think the prospects of Hozier headlining Glastonbury any time soon feel... remote.
Dales
Sammy at the O2 tonight, another fine show with more production then times when I have seen him before. Surprised some still doubt his potential Glasto headline credentials. I think in the UK he is headline only now. Had a bonus cover version tonight, won't name it incase they play it again tommorow and some one does not want know. Easy enough for others who are not going to find the set list. Can't make my mind up about Wunderhorse. They have a few tunes I really like but find other stuff a little dull, they done around 45 minutes. Will not be rushing to pay for one of their own shows, seem to be playing everywhere next year and so plenty of chances to catch them at festivals to see if I chnage my mind. Having seen him Saturday in Manchester, he's Pyramid-headliner worthy for sure.... a change in my view of this time a week ago. Cracking gig! By the time you add a couple more tunes from new album, I think he'd be ace as a Friday headliner. Agreed on Wunderhorse... think I heard similar bands at Battle of the Bands at school 15 years ago. Nothing special at all.
Stokesy10
I am absolutely praying he'll be announced to headline but this place has reduced my confidence in that! Out of the front 3 in the lead for rumours (O-Rod, 1975, Young), there's only one I "might" make an appearance for if there's literally nothing else on. Fender would save if for me. Plus I have some newbies coming along who'd see him too.

charlierc
Have most of his shows had fireworks above the audience like a clip I saw on the O2 Arena's Instagram this morning? ... you know, before Instagram crashed as part of a greater failure of Meta products. LinvoyPrimus
Caught him at The O2 last night and thought he was superb. New material sounds great live. The boy's ready to headline. He's got the tunes, he's now got the production, and the crowd are mad for all of it. And the crowd was a really broad demographic split as well – lots of Gen-Zers (and lots of girls as well) right up to your 50-something parents/couples. NorthernSoul52
I'd be shocked if he didn't throw a cover into a G headline set if it was next year.
ClementsMike
Saw him in Brum last night. He covered London Calling again which works well. Once this album is out he’s easily ready to headline.
danbailey80
London Stadium almost sold out. Just a few at the very back.

The demographic he’s attracting is quite broad. Of course it’s only anecdotal but I know 8 people going to the Hydro on Tuesday with ages ranging from 16 to
NorthernSoul52
Aye, he's carting decent cross-generational appeal. There's the Springsteen demographic at the top end, the TikTok punters at the bottom end and plenty in between the age brackets.

NorthernSoul52
I know there's a lot more excitement from many on here for the speculation on a Neil Young, or a Stevie Wonder, but honestly, slap Fender up top aa your third headliner and be done with it.

Padjeq
4th time seeing him the other night in Brum. New songs sound better and bigger than the rest. Really impressed in the wild long lie one, and the highlight People Watching.
