4th time seeing him the other night in Brum. New songs sound better and bigger than the rest. Really impressed in the wild long lie one, and the highlight People Watching.

People Watching going to stick around into next summer. Will be curious to see if it is still placing high in January after the Xmas songs have left the charts, but at the very least, expect a boost when the album proper lands.

Think it's dropped out the top 40. Could have a comeback, but I think the first big hits of January 25 will be Lola Young and Ceechynaa.

I've never doubted he was 'big enough' to headline, personally.  The response he got in 22 was enough to prove that with one more album under his belt he'd be at that level.  This year feels like the perfect year for him, home grown lad at the peak of his powers stepping out onto the big stage, it just feels like a natural choice to me.

Just back from seeing Sam Fender in Glasgow. An ideal Glastonbury headliner, appeals to a wide range of age groups from kids to, eh, my age ( I changed the words to seventy going under😉).  Despite him struggling a wee bit with a cold it was a tremendous gig.

Anybody who saw his 2022 fill in, which I think is most of us, surely agrees he's a future headliner. Outstanding set, one of the sets of the weekend on the Pyramid that year. (If not THE set.)

It does feel a little early though, like he needs one or two more massive hits. Maybe I'm wrong there, I dunno, he certainly didn't need them for his last set on that field. 🤷‍♂️

Glasgow and Newcastle shows cancelled due to illness

Was at last nights Glasgow gig and although he struggled at some times it still sounded really good. Songs such as dying light weren’t compromised by his vocal problems. Half way through he left the stage for a couple of minutes, probably for medication. He joked about taking steroids. London Calling was sang by the band and he just did back up

hope he gets better soon, know a few folk who were going tonight. There was also a lot of folk there last night who had travelled up from England. They will be gutted at the cancellation
