Jamesthedrake
Looks like Fontaines have replaced him.
efcfanwirral
Fontaines DC just tweeted - they've been added to that slot
danbailey80
"Hopefully getting a chance next year". Sam is virtually guaranteed for 2020. The question is where as I see him playing places as large as the O2 by next Summer. Second from top John Peel or half way up Pyramid / Other? Funkyfairy!
Sam was on my top 3 'must sees; this year so was gutted when he pulled out - I;d live a JP set as sound is always brilliant, but I fear an erly pyramid set

I dislike the John Peel tent as it's too small for the acts and has no sound/screen provision outside, but Left Field would have been an intimate banger of a set. John Peel would be too small, but the smaller LeftField would be good?

As a second set, yes. On the assumption that most of the radio 1 listening crowd would go to John Peel.

There was a really great energy in a small Brum venue back in 2018.

You could literally walk in easily to the Leftfield set.
Mattymooz
Album has just debuted at no. 1 on the charts, very impressive
reflekting
Guessing he will be 3rd or 4th from top on the other next year, or 5th/6th on the Pyramid.
danbailey80
No way he'll get leftfield again. Far too big. He'll be there 2020 though. I imagine management discussed it around the time he had to pull out.

Ayrshire Chris
Disappointed last year when he cancelled, hope he gets a decent spot on a main stage this year if he’s booked. One of our must sees.

efcfanwirral
I wasn't expecting to like him having wrongly lumped him in with Capaldi etc but the album is brilliant. Maybe it's because I'm a big Springsteen fan but I like every song. The Borders especially. Shame I hadn't realised it when tickets for both his tours went on sale...
