Surely given this arena tour is in service of the greatest hits album they’ve just released it’s all just going to be stuff off that?

The 2019 Pyramid setlist was perfect by the way. A masterclass in knowing what the crowd wanted and giving it to them.

2019 was a very good set, I did however get This River is Wild at Coventry which I really like

I was at that Coventry '22 show as well. River is Wild might've been more special had I not had it the last time I saw them do a headline show at Hyde Park in 2017, though there was something in the fact that it was the only River... performance in the whole UK tour.

If they do rock up this year - in a Churnups-style slot, or something smaller on Woodsies - not sure playing Hot Fuss front-to-back is the way to go.

You could definitely have a crack at it out of order though.

I was wondering what the affect would be if you did what Bloc Party did when I saw them do Silent Alarm in full in 2019, which is that they played the song order backwards.

Also I think we should've got Change Your Mind on the full album as that one's great. I used to think it was better than Glamorous Indie, now I'm not so sure.

If they did a Woodsies it would be rammed , bordering on dangerous imo. More likely an other or pyramid ‘surprise’ that everyone knows about!

They've already done a Woodsies set recently. Good thing about that field is that they can close the gates when it gets too busy.

There was still people breaking through bushes and climbing over fences for that set though.

There will always be people trying to break into already full fields, but at least they can keep the majority out.

Only if they've got better stewards than they had in 22.  Those seemed new and weren't doing anything when there was a large crowd coming out but others had been caught coming the other way...indeed I stood about 5 feet from two of them whilst they too avoided the flow.

It would be daft to put killers back in there again.

I think, even with my reservations, it's got to be Hot Fuss-centric though. There's otherwise going to be very little difference to the 2017 secret set or 2019 headline show in general. (I do love The Killers, but in terms of mixing it up, it feels like they tend to play a tried-and-tested core fourteen or fifteen songs these days and then bolt on as necessary.)

Yes, when we saw the crowd we reluctantly gave it a miss

It was 2017 The Killers played Woodsies so you'd hope a few lessons have been learnt in the last seven years.

But the year I mentioned was since then and the problem wasn't lessons, it was as I think was referred to in other subjects in 22, they seemed to have lost some very experienced stewards over the course of the pandemic.

Were they better in 23?  I didn't have any experiences to compare.

This really is the work for security, way past what can be expected of voluntary stewards.

To be honest, going back to an early point about having about fourteen static songs, I do hope they take advantage of multiple night stands to properly give it a mix-up on this Rebel Diamonds run in the summer. With credit to them, they played seventy-seven different songs across the run behind Imploding the Mirage - though plenty of those were the A Dustland Fairytale-Runaways segue section - but I'd like to see them really rustle off the deeper edges of the catalogue.

(What I really want is a good chunk from Battle Born, but outside of the obvious couple, those chances are pretty slim. I remember them bizarrely digging out Deadlines and Commitments once on the Wonderful Wonderful run.)

Again, still not convinced a full set of Hot Fuss works if played sequentially, but can definitely work with a bit of a shuffle.

Maybe back to front could work well? Would love to see this on the Pyramid.

A Hot Fuss only set?

Never would happen. No band from memory has every done anniversary show at Glastonbury. Also completely wrong audience.

Can/ hope they do a set but will be across all albums

Yeah I think you’re right. Full album shows are largely for hardcore fans, not so much a casual Glastonbury crowd who won’t care much about half the album, especially if they’re doing a secret set. If The Killers play I imagine it’ll just be a straight hits set (so basically half of Hot Fuss and then some others).

Primal Scream did the Screamadelica album in full in 2011 to mark 30 years on the Other Stage in heavy rain.

Was the best i've seen them on the farm, which in truth has been a mixed bag of performances to say the least.
