Lack of crowds means lack of income in ticket sales, unhappy food vendors and less money available for this edition I would guess.
Anyone else notice Dreher isn't listed as a sponsor or partner on the website this year?
This crossed my mind as well. Almost like trying to attract two different crowds with two different announcements, but targeting the younger crowd first, as they likely have less money and will book their festivals now.
Bit of a risky strategy if that is the case as I think the regulars now have more questions than answers. I think after last year people are starting to question the direction it's going, and for some that first wave might be enough to send them elsewhere. It will be interesting to see where they go from here, I'm not sure anybody really knows.
We thought this this year and then the poster came at more or less exactly the same period it comes every year. Don’t think there’s ever much chance of it coming months in advance of that usual window.
whart issues did you have at MC? We went last year and the toilet/exit situation was sooooo bad. And that was after a few years practice for the organisers - I can't imagine what it was like 5 years earlier!
Wonder if the first poster might come early Jan after Emily's comments on the podcast last year, assuming they have most of the lineup locked in at this point
(Purely hopeful thinking).
