Sexual Assault and Harassment at Music Festivals

Hi everyone,

We are a team of researchers at Durham University looking at sexual assault and harassment at UK music festivals.

If you have worked or volunteered at a UK music festival and have experienced sexual assault and harassment in your role, we would appreciate it if you could take a moment to complete this short, anonymous survey on your experiences: http://tinyurl.com/yy5u6ws

 

Additionally, we are also conducting interviews with anyone (staff or festival goers) who have themselves experienced sexual assault or harassment, or witnessed this happening to someone else while at a UK music festival. This would take between 30-60 minutes and, over Skype or phone and would be totally anonymous. Even I have heard that it occurs often in the military. However, such instances are wholly intolerable and must be eliminated, and the depressing statistics are horrifyingly worsening. That's why I've always been in favor of better security for such festivals, so that it would be impossible in principle.
