I'm guessing that means at the top end of the line up. Rita Ora named for Zurich Openair btw. Urrgh. What will be the excuse for not booking decent headliners this year? RATM and The Strokes were avaliable for this time of the year. Edited February 24, 2020 by johnybegood

Every year there is an international conspirancy and Pukkelpop is the victim, so they book as headliners Bastille, Oscar And The Wolf, Editors... Let’s hope than under KoL, Dua Lipa and some hip hop headliner, we get a decent undercard (also atracttive for over-30 yo people) and lets hope that they avoid repeating one more time their typical rock bookings (BMTH, YMA6, Refused, Amenra...) and surprise us with attractive guitar bands (last year was great, but 2018 and 2017 were shit) Edited February 24, 2020 by johnybegood
The_Preach
@Ken19 do you have any intel about Eminem's announcement being delayed or something? Not sure if he will play at pkp but still.

Play Lowlands and no other belgian date announced. They have to focus on the undercard. Major headliners don’t tour very often this period. And are too expensive. I expect Editors as a headliner, i hope that I’m wrong.

So we can get the Werchter Joker headlining combo: Kings Of Leon and Editors. So "funny"... Edited February 24, 2020 by johnybegood
gigi21
Mark Lanegan announced for Cinzella in Italy on August 16th. Last year they shared the international names with Pukkelpop.

Semprini
Think that whatever the issue is Frequency has had with headliners has also affected PKP, which could explain why they've been pretty quiet recently on socials. Based on the last few years I was confident we'd get the first names on Tuesday (just gone) but it's now even doubtful we'll get news this week. They need to close the wish list at least a few days/week before announcing anything so we're probably now looking at second week of March at the earliest. If a headliner (or two) has pulled out then that explains any delay but doesn't bode well, based on previous form, for us getting a 'big' replacement. I'd much rather though we had a few 'smaller' names grouped together at the top of the bill than someone really expensive as that would allow for a stronger line up lower down, which for me is the most important thing. Still think we'll get someone 'bigger' than Lowlands (as that's usually the case) but hard to see who that might be based on what's already been announced? Bit worrying the many great names Dour have announced so far as its close proximity to PKP makes it unlikely bands will do both. Looking at Creamfields, Deadmau5 has got to be a serious contender now for Main/Dance Hall finisher. Granted he hasn't released much new music recently but the lack of 'big' dance acts on the circuit means he can command that kind of slot based solely on his back catalogue. Think Pendulum Trinity are a dead cert now and would love to see Eric Prydz and Boris Brejcha feature, seeing as they're in the area. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Calvin Harris co-headlines one night and think it would be great as his new ravey stuff is superb!
