Even that feels like a lot to me, as I found with that the price of day tix to a few European festivals.
200-ish? Ouch. At present that's about the same as 4 days at Truck.
I can't make next year's Festival due to family commitments. I have to say this first announcement made me much happier to miss it - no FOMO for me (so far). None of the headliners grab me - don't hate any of them but don't love them. A few lower down I'd have loved - Lisa O'Neill, These new Puritans & Throwing Muses, but I can live with missing them.
I'll definitely be back in 2026 for the 20th anniversary, health & wealth permitting - it will quite possibly my last ever festival.
Looking at Øya again, it does seem like Khruangbin, MJ Lenderman and Nilüfer Yanya are all quite likely for GM (I know others have said this before).
Only just seen We Out Here's first lineup announcement too - same weekend as GM. Probs too soon for Michael Kiwanuka to be back at GM having headlined in 2022.
