cat update: this cat has properly moved in she spends almost every night in the house and is very settled, i think she likes the calmness we've now named her 'lunar'.

shes adorable, and we're starting to wonder how we'd react if she stopped visiting. i've suggested we get our own cat but the wife isn't biting with that. we're worried we're going to end up with kittens soon, as she's not been 'fixed'.

she loves the toys we've bought her, and she fights the catnip mouse all round the house, we keep finding it in odd places. we also spend ages in the cat isle in supermarkets, looking for things to treat her with.

We occasionally get posts in our village FB group from folks complaining about others feeding their cat 😉

Theresnowt wrong with being nice to a local cat. If cat was happy at home we wouldn't be able to corrupt her. I think she has a house full of kids who harrass her, so she comes here for peace and calmness.

Can't glue anything as I need to be able to take the footwear on and off.

Good news...The Crown in Pilton is opening on Friday. Its been closed for a year for a refurbishment.  Its had a major rebuild in a good way. Just been to a private opening and it is beautiful.  If anyone has ever been in there before...you will not recognise the place.  It is awesome.  No photos as I'm gonna wait for the public opening, but will show some on here on Friday if anyone is interested.  There are some on their website. Oh and the food is top banana!!! We love our new pub.

That’s great news, everytime we’ve visited the area this year and last year there’s been scaffolding, sounds of drilling and hammering and assorted tradesmen going in and out. Should be heading down sometime over the winter for a wee holiday  so we will pop in for a meal. And hopefully not fall down those bloody steps out to the beer garden. 😉

The steps are now wider and non slip. You won't believe the difference. It is seriously fantastic.

ThankGod for that! I’m off to negotiate with Mrs C when we can visit. Xmas shopping to Clark’s village and a few nights in the crossways might just swing it for me.

None slip stone steps now, plus a wider staircase. Plenty of stairs inside to fall down mind. Restaurant is on a mezzanine level.

Fantastic.  We came past on Friday (after scrumping sloes from the railway line 😊) and there was a guy doing some work out front. We wondered when it'll open so thanks for the heads up - we'll def be over sometime soon 👍

The food is top notch. Beer menu the same as last summer. Inside has changed like you would not believe! You will not be disappointed.
